BARBICAN SYSTEMS | security for a complex world
Barbican can provide a complete suite of services for development projects
Environmental mitigation is the process of compensating for the impacts to the environment caused by development. Barbican can provide the required credits for such projects in locales around the United States.
• Process includes acquiring large tracts of land and converting any damaged natural resources into environmental credits through mitigation, restoration, and remediation. The purpose of these credits is to put our nation’s conservation and clean water initiatives ahead of new construction and development. • Purpose is to offset damaged or impacted ecological systems and restore them to their original state. Remediation analysis will be assessed through individual watersheds and on a case-by-case basis with each project.

Stabilization is the process of adjusting the physical characteristics of soil to improve engineering properties to properly support load bearing requirements at sub-grade or sub-base.
The stabilizing of soil can be achieved with a variety of materials or methods, depending upon the need of the land and the project for which it is intended. Typical treatments include cement, the addition of lime, bitumen or other chemical compounds, and even electro-osmosis methods for clay-based soils. Other techniques involve grouting methods and the use of geotextiles and fabrics.
